We at CMI are deeply saddened by the passing of our founder. CMI reflects President Ahtisaari’s life’s work and is his most important legacy. We will continue his work to prevent and resolve conflicts around the world. In doing so, we will ensure that his vision of a more peaceful world is passed on to future generations.

Studies show that conflicts are best resolved through negotiation, not war. Founded by Martti Ahtisaari in 2000, CMI does this work every day in more than 20 countries across four geographical regions.
