CMI organises high-level conference on mediation and OSCE’s role on 10 October in Vienna

Mediation and the potential role of the OSCE in promoting national dialogue and building confidence across different divides will be the focus of a high-level conference to be held at the Hofburg in Vienna on 10 October 2014. The meeting will bring together envoys of regional and international organizations, negotiators and mediators from a number of peace processes from around the world as well as experts working in the field. President Martti Ahtisaari, Nobel Peace Laureate, and OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier will open the conference.

The conference is organized by CMI in co-operation with the Co-chairs of the OSCE Group of Friends of Mediation – Finland, Turkey and Switzerland, and with the support of the Conflict Prevention Centre of the OSCE Secretariat. The event is open to the media, civil society and academia.
