Conflict resolution organisation CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation calls on citizens, businesses, and organisations to honour President Martti Ahtisaari’s memory by contributing to the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Fund.
Founded by Martti Ahtisaari in 2000, the Finnish organisation has since become one of the world’s leading peace mediation entities, addressing the root causes of conflicts in over 20 countries.
Funds collected for the Peace Fund will be invested with a reasonable return expectation. The Fund’s returns will ensure CMI’s independent operational capacity and strengthen its ability to respond swiftly to changing crisis situations.
“Martti Ahtisaari was one of the world’s most successful peace mediators,” says Alexander Stubb, Chair of the Board at CMI.
“We at CMI want to continue his life’s work for peace. We invite all Finns and citizens of the world to join us in building a better world along the path that Martti paved.”
