Chief Programme Officer of CMI Ville Brummer to be appointed Director of Peace Mediation in President Stubb’s cabinet

President-elect of Finland Alexander Stubb will appoint Chief Programme Officer of CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation Ville Brummer as Member of his Presidential Cabinet on 1 March 2024. Brummer will serve as Director of Peace Mediation. He will start in his new position on 18 March 2024. 

Brummer will take a leave of absence from CMI. Recruitment for his replacement will begin immediately. Brummer has served as Chief Programme Officer of CMI since 2013. He is responsible for the planning and implementation of CMI’s programmatic work.
