The Office of the President of the Republic has opened a Book of Condolence where members of the public and organisations can leave their condolences on the passing of President Ahtisaari. CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation has also created a memorial webpage open to all in memory of its founder, President Ahtisaari.
The Office of the President of the Republic announced on 16 October that the Book of Condolence for President Martti Ahtisaari will be opened at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, 17 October 2023, at 10.00. Members of the public and organisations can also send their condolences to the family of President Ahtisaari online at presidentti.fi/surukirja. The condolences will later be compiled and printed as a book, which will be presented to President Ahtisaari’s family.
CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation has also opened a memorial webpage where individuals and organisations from Finland and around the world can leave a written and photographic tribute to President Ahtisaari. The address of the page is cmi.fi/muistamarttia.
