Experts gathered to discuss the impact of the US-Iran crisis on the South Caucasus, the Gulf region and beyond

CMI in cooperation with the EPC organized an expert roundtable in Brussels on the impact of the US-Iran crisis on the South Caucasus, the Gulf region and beyond for an exchange of views with experts from the region and EU representatives.

On October 18, Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) in cooperation with the European Policy Centre (EPC) organized an expert roundtable on the impact of the US-Iran crisis on the South Caucasus, the Gulf region and beyond. Invited experts from Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Brussels exchanged views with representatives of the European Union, and Brussels-based experts on the different perspectives related to the US-Iran crisis from economic, political and security aspects. The discussion also addressed possible implications and future developments around the current crisis and the role of the European Union in advancing options for decreasing tensions.

This roundtable was organized as part of a long-term cooperation between CMI and the EPC aimed at providing spaces for exchanges between different actors from Europe’s neighbourhood and EU representatives in Brussels.
