CMI on fact-finding mission in Jakarta and Aceh
CMI concluded its follow-up work regarding the implementation of the Aceh peace process in 2012, which meant that CMI’s active role in accompanying the peace process came to an end.
The Aceh peace process still remains an important part of CMI’s history. As CMI often receives requests to share knowledge of the process and the current situation in Aceh, it is important that CMI is in possession of key data regarding the present state of the peace process and developments in the province. It is in this light, CMI has deployed a small fact-finding mission to Jakarta and Aceh between October 16-20 to discuss with different stakeholders and to learn more about the present state of affairs.
