CMI’s High-Level Ukrainian Dialogue Group meets EU interlocutors in Brussels

Published on Tuesday, 7th of April 2015

In continuation of CMI’s work in Ukraine, we organised on 22-26 March 2015 a round of high-level meetings with EU interlocutors for Ukrainian political actors and intellectual leaders. The Ukrainian high-level dialogue group that took part in this event under CMI’s auspices includes Members of Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) and intellectual leaders, who together represent a broad spectrum of political views and opinions in different parts of the country, including the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

During the visit, the group met with high-level officials from the European External Action Service and the European Parliament. They also discussed with members of the Political and Security Committee of the European Council, and the Cabinets of Federica Mogherini, the High Representative for EU Foreign Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, and Commissioner Johannes Hahn (European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations). The visit to Brussels also included internal Ukrainian dialogue sessions.

These events were organised with funding from the British Embassy in Kyiv, UK Conflict Pool Peacebuilding projects in Ukraine 2014-2015.
