CMI:n korkein päätöksentekoelin on järjestön sääntömääräinen vuosikokous, jossa CMI:n jäsenet (113 jäsentä tällä hetkellä) tarkistavat vuosittaisen taloustilanteemme, työsuunnitelmamme sekä vuosikertomuksemme. CMI:n hallitus on vastuussa pitkäjänteisestä strategiastamme, tärkeimmistä taloudellisista päätöksistä, uusien jäsenten valinnasta sekä toiminnanjohtajan nimittämisestä. Hallituksessamme on tällä hetkellä kahdeksan jäsentä. CMI:n toiminnanjohtaja johtaa työtämme ja valvoo strategian toteuttamista johtoryhmän tukemana.

Hanna Klinge serves as Acting Executive Director since January 2020. Prior to this she was the Advisor to Executive Director and the principal lead on strategic partnerships. Ms Klinge joined CMI in January 2018.
Hanna Klinge’s background is in international relations, primarily in managing strategic partnerships, large scale projects and people. Prior to joining CMI Ms Klinge worked as Country Director at the British Council Finland leading its work in Finland. The broad institutional portfolio included several international capacity building programmes, policy dialogue initiatives, and publications. Ms Klinge is experienced in forging strategic partnerships and alliances across public, private and third sectors. She has specialized in social development and innovation, equality and inclusion issues, and social enterprise. Ms Klinge has studied and worked in Greece, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland. She holds an Executive Master in International Negotiation and Policy-Making from Geneva Graduate Institute, and a MA in Cultural Studies and Social Sciences from Helsinki University. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK).

Elina Lehtinen is in charge of strategic planning in CMI’s external and internal communications. She has worked for over a decade in media and communications related posts in the USA, Middle East, UK and Finland.
Prior to joining CMI Lehtinen worked in Doha, Qatar as a Senior Communications Consultant for Bell Pottinger, a leading communications consultancy. Previously she has served as a political correspondent and journalist with the Finnish Public Broadcasting Corp. (YLE TV) and different divisions of the Sanoma Corporation.
Elina holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and international politics. She also holds a Master’s degree in journalism and philosophy from the University of Helsinki and a diploma from the private Sanoma School of Journalism in Helsinki.

Dr. Ville Brummer has been Programme Director at CMI since 2013, and has the overall responsibility for leading the design and implementation of CMI’s programmatic work. Brummer joined CMI in 2008, and led our Research & Development unit during 2010 -2013.
Dr. Brummer has extensive experience in several conflict prevention and resolution processes in Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe, the Southern Caucasus, and Central Asia. He has led and advised various international teams and has in-depth knowledge and practical experience on different tasks related to mediation processes, including conflict analysis, process design and facilitation, early engagement with conflict groups, and advisory and support services for several international organizations, governments and NGOs.
Prior to joining CMI, Dr. Brummer worked in academia and in private consultancies. He has published widely in various journals and books, and has lectured on negotiation and decision-making in several universities. He has a doctoral degree from Aalto University in Helsinki.

Peter is the Director of Finance and Administration at CMI. He leads the finance and administration team responsible for finance, administration, risk management and human resources.
Prior to joining CMI, Peter worked at Privaon Ltd as Chief Operating Officer in charge of operative, finance and administrative functions. In addition, he has 10 years of experience in the development finance field having led socially responsible investments into emerging countries. First, at Finnfund where he worked for 8 years as Investment Manager specializing in executing private equity fund, SME and microfinance investments. Then, at the UK development finance institution CDC as Investment Manager focusing on private equity fund investments into Africa. Peter has also worked at KPMG in emerging market advisory services. Furthermore, he has several years of corporate banking and investment banking experience and has also volunteered in Iquitos, Peru and served as a NATO peacekeeper in Kosovo.
Peter holds a MBA from the National University of Singapore and a M.Sc. in Business and Economics from Lund University, Sweden.
