8th session of the National Platform held in Ukraine

The 8th session of the National Platform – Dialogue for Peace and Secure Reintegration took place in Kyiv on 19th February 2019 with Ambassador Jeffrey Feltman, former UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, as keynote speaker.

General Yevgen Marchuk, Ukraine’s representative to the Trilateral Contact Group negotiations in Minsk also spoke at the Platform, as did Ambassador Oleksandr Levchenko, Advisor to the Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs, Ambassador Volodymyr Handogiy, former Permanent Representative of Ukraine at the UN and other politicians, diplomats, NGOs and experts.

An expert discussion was held, focused on the role of intergovernmental organisations in international conflict resolution and the opportunities and risks for Ukraine.
